Diabetes

 Diabetes is a complex disease in which the body does not properly assimilate food. The foods consumed are converted to glucose in the stomach and intestine . Glucose reach the blood, which then transported to all cells of the body , and to get inside of them need for insulin ( a hormone generated by the pancreas) .
Inside the cell , the sugar is used for power generation cell . If the pancreas does not generate enough insulin or the cells do not react properly to it appears diabetes . As recommended by the American Diabetes Association , blood glucose should be between 80 and 120 milligrams per deciliter between meals or when fasting . If blood glucose is outside these values when diabetes occurs .

Diabetes is of two kinds:
In type 1 or insulin dependent , when the pancreas does not produce insulin or sludge is used as the body needs . In this situation diabetic should use or pumped insulin injection . This type of diabetes has the following features :
appears under 35 years ;
person is poor ;
manifestations are acute ;
appear frequent urination and increased thirst ;
is accompanied by increased appetite and rapid weight loss ;
symptoms of fatigue and weakness ;
comprises 10 % of all patients with diabetes.
The insulin resistance or type 2 , in which the body does not respond to the insulin that is usually diagnosed in people over 40 years of age. American Diabetes Association Conference in June 1999 and draws attention on the alarming increase of type 2 diabetes in obese children , sometimes representing a rate double that of those with type 1 diabetes . This type of diabetes has the following features :
usually occurs in overweight people ;
The onset is slow and often silent (no symptoms ) ;
visual disturbances ;
wounds heal with difficulty;
repeated infections of the skin , mouth and bladder ;
90% of all diabetics .
Both forms of diabetes are accompanied by large and unpredictable variations in blood glucose in 2 forms:
high blood sugar (over 150 mg per deciliter ) caused by :
too much food or poor diet diabetic ;
lack of exercise or too little exercise ;
medication administration in insufficient quantities or incorrect ;
too much stress ;
infections or other illnesses ;
medication for diabetes is not treated properly by the body;
existence cycle.
hypoglycemia ( less than 70 milligrams per deciliter ) can have the following causes :
The consumption of too little food or meals at irregular hours ;
an exercise or excessive exercise or long period without taking a bite beforehand ;
too much insulin or other diabetes medications or changing hours of their administration ;
too much stress at work or in the family;
a side effect of other drugs ;
an alcohol without food ;
Stress and Diabetes
The diabetic state in the 3 stages of the general adaptation syndrome :
alarm ( acute symptoms ) , which appears at first contact and interpret stress is accompanied by the following changes:
hypoglycemia caused by the release of adrenaline in the blood, which in turn brings more carbohydrates in restoring blood glucose levels but there is a risk of rapid change in hyperglycemia ;
rapid heart rate and high blood pressure ;
blood vessels of the hands and feet to contract ;
tremors accompanied by nervousness, tension and anxiety ;
resistance ( adaptation to chronic manifestations ) caused by long term stress interpreted :
Cortisone is released which causes a rise in blood pressure and heart rate decline , decrease in white blood cells ( inhibits immune system ) and cause the transformation of carbohydrate protein causing hyperglycemia ;
generates a pituitary HGH ( human growth hormone ) which favors the transformation of fats ( lipids ) in carbohydrates causing hyperglycemia even if a person has eaten food ;
a diabetic goes into a state of neglect or autoignorare .
exhaustion : in this stage complications are difficult or sometimes impossible to reverse . through careful control of blood sugar can maintain the functional stability of the body.
Long-term effects of type 2 diabetes
diseases of the heart and blood circulation in general: heart attack is responsible for 60 % of deaths with diabetes and stroke to 25 % ;
disorders of nerve fibers ( neuropathy ) caused by reducing or disrupting their function from the extremities ( fingers and toes weeks ) and gradually progressing to the trunk and then to the vital organs ;
diseases of the blood vessels which can cause damage to various tissues , which is accompanied by infection and can worsen to the need for amputation of the legs ( the legs 50% of amputations in the United States are caused by diabetes, but careful management of the legs can reduce this major complication diabetes by 44 % -85 % )
Eye disorders : retinopathy are abnormal blood vessels in the retina that can lead to blindness (in the U.S. Diabetes is responsible for the emergence 12,000 24,000 annual new cases of blindness , diabetes is the leading cause of blindness in persons aged 20 74 ) . diabetes are also at increased risk for certain types of glaucoma and cataracts ;
kidney : renal disease are worsened by high blood pressure and cholesterol leading to chronic renal failure and dialysis ;
disorders of the central nervous system and mental disorders : alţaimăr dementia caused by cerebral artery microlesions . they are preceded by problems with attention , concentration and memory after 55 years in diabetics ;
disorders of the immune system :
infections: diabetics cool slightly and have a much higher risk of pneumonia (because they neutralized the protective effect of the protein on the surface of the lungs) . during influenza epidemics , the death rate from diabetes increased by 5 % -15 % and need to be hospitalized is 6 times higher than those without diabetes because of complications caused by influenza ;
cancer : women with type 2 diabetes at higher risk for cervical cancer if they are overweight , and both women and men with diabetes have an increased risk for colon cancer and rectal cancer .
Stress Management classical version
Positive thinking exercise improves body strength and improve health ;
attitude towards events
relaxation
progressive relaxation
view
breath
meditation
exercise
nutrition
Therapeutic touch less tense muscles and induce a state of relaxation both physically and mentally the increasing clarity of thought and generating a good feeling .
Hug pulse increases and improves blood circulation while inducing a state of physical and psychological comfort accompanied by joy and happiness of mind.
Researchers recommended daily :
4 hugs for survival ;
8 hugs to preserve the current state ;
12 hugs for growth and continuous development of physical and mental performance .
A proper diet can keep us from diabetes
Overweight and obesity increase the risk of developing chronic diseases such as diabetes , cardiovascular disease, hypertension and myocardial infarction or certain cancers. Obesity is associated , in particular , the energy imbalance that occurs once the excessive consumption of calories force sufficient physical activity .
'' Healthy diet consists of a low consumption as salt, sugar , concentrated sweets and avoid alcoholic beverages . Morning meal is mandatory and must contain a cup of milk or fruit juice and corn flakes . They can be replaced with graham roll or a slice of black bread . White bread is not indicated '' says Juliet Cristescu, diabetes doctor .
Regarding lunch , it must include '' soup, main course and fresh fruit .''
People who do not have the opportunity to serve lunch to be cooked to '' taste '' even a sandwich and a fruit naturally. Before dinner you should eat an apple.
Dinner should contain many vegetables '' '' . However , the average daily calorie should be about 2,800 for males and 2,200 for females. Doctors also recommend that , after dinner , to take a walk for about half an hour.

Currently, worldwide there are approximately 194 million diabetics and this figure is expected to reach 2030 , 350 million . According to the latest international statistics in the world are more than one billion adults are overweight , of which at least 300 million are obese.
